Stainless steel does not leach harmful by-products which might adversely affect run-off or harvesting and is, therefore, ideal for rainwater collection. Guttering and downpipes can be used with welded sections or in continuous lengths of up to 20 metres (depending on width). The thickness of 0.5 mm is easy to work, even in cold weather, and can be soldered in situ. Depending on component length, the metal can be folded using specialist tools in the workshop or on site.
